Assistant Store Business Manager

Position Summary:
The Assistant Store Business Manager (ASBM) will support the Store Business Manager in the day to day operation of the store.  Responsibilities include supervising staff, providing excellent customer service to our guests and producing sales. Will obtain or receive merchandise, total bills, accept payment and make change for customer in retail store by performing the following duties:
Position Duties & Responsibilities:
Meets store sales goals and Key Performance Indicators (KPI)
Maintains adequate sales floor coverage in Store Business Manager absence
Monitors adherence to all corporate customer service policies
Takes corrective action on negative sales trends
Can execute all responsibilities of a Third Key and Sales Associate
Actively leads portions of all store meetings
Provides additional training to staff on product knowledge and creative selling techniques
Completed all training required of a Third Key and Sales Associate
Inventory Management
Ensures compliance of employees with established inventory control procedures
Communicates product opportunities
Can execute all responsibilities of a Third Key and Sales Associate
Store Presentation
Prepares or directs workers preparing merchandise displays
Executes all store promotions
Can execute all responsibilities of a Third Key and Sales Associate
Store Supervision
Manages daily operations in an assistant role
Oversees employees performing duties and/or performs duties personally
Assigns employees specific duties
Ensures compliance of company record keeping and banking procedures
Responsible for handling the cash for store opening and closing to ensure all the money is accounted for the day’s receipts
Scheduling Expectations
Creates a work schedule for the store two weeks in advance of the scheduled work week
Works a minimum of five (5) days per week
Scheduled to work a minimum of two nights per week, including a Friday or a Saturday night
Clocks in and out for all meal periods and must adhere to the meal and break requirements
All other duties assigned by the Store Business Manager
Excellent communication skills
Meet Sales Goals
Knowledge of sales principles
Basic administration knowledge
Retail experience desirable

Work Environment:
The job function is performed in retail setting requiring normal safety precautions. Tempo is fast-paced.
Physical Demands:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and hear.  This positon is very active and requires standing, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping, crouching, and climbing ladders, all day.  The employee will be required at times to unload and unpack shipment, and lift and/or move items up to 25 pounds.
