STARTING SEPTEMBER 7, 2011, LEFT TURNS WILL BE PROHIBITED FROM SOUTHWEST SCHOLLS FERRY ROAD INTO WASHINGTON SQUARE.
ODOT plans to permanently restrict left turns from southbound Scholls Ferry Road onto the access road leading to SW Washington Square Road and Washington Square Mall. The right turn into the access road from northbound Scholls Ferry Road will remain open.
Motorists have several options for accessing Washington Square:
- If coming from the south, use Scholls Ferry Road northbound and make a right turn to access Washington Square.
- If coming from the north, take Hall Boulevard to Eliander Lane to access Washington Square.
- Use the Scholls Ferry Road off-ramp from OR 217 (northbound and southbound) and head north on Scholls Ferry and make a right to access Washington Square Road.
U-turns are not permitted on Scholls Ferry Road. Motorists on southbound Scholls Ferry Road south of Hall Boulevard wanting to turn on Washington Square Road will need to get onto OR 217 southbound and exit at Greenburg Road. From there, motorists can head back to Scholls Ferry Road on OR 217 northbound, turn onto Washington Square Road from Greenburg Road, or head north to Hall Boulevard to Eliander Lane.
